Rhymney River Circular
The Rhymney River Circular Walk follows footpaths, bridleways and cycleways with only short sections on roads or lanes. The paths are mainly dry in summer but can get boggy after wet weather.
This 9-mile route is generally flat, although there are some gentle ascents rewarded with great views (if the weather conditions are right). Lots of nature, history and archaeology to see along the route.
If it’s very wet, the route may alter on the day. The start and end point would remain the same. In extreme weather the walk may be cancelled.
Please bring your packed lunch. Waterproofs and walking boots advised, as some terrain could be uneven and the walk includes a small stream crossing.
Dogs on a short lead only, please.
